The Essential Health Screening programme is designed to bring multiple examinations, laboratory tests and imaging checks into one coordinated morning. Actual timing can vary by centre, the number of guests and any additional tests.
If you have urgent symptoms or need diagnosis or treatment for a specific condition, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional instead of relying on a screening package.
Which cities are available?
Health screening is currently available by request in:
- Guangzhou
- Shenzhen
- Shanghai
- Beijing
- Chengdu
Your exact screening centre depends on your chosen city, preferred date and individual requirements. PandaCheckup recommends a suitable facility and includes the centre's name and full address in your confirmation email.
Every health screening centre in the PandaCheckup network is carefully selected and holds the relevant operating credentials for the services it provides. Specific licences, certifications and third-party accreditations can differ between facilities. If you require a particular accreditation, ask before booking so the credentials of the proposed centre can be confirmed.
Choose the right screening programme
Essential Health Screening
The current Essential programme is US$250 per person and includes more than 40 screening items. Its published scope includes:
- Clinical examinations
- Blood and urine laboratory tests
- Chest X-ray
- Resting electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Retinal examination
- Six core ultrasound areas, plus profile-specific scans
- Applicable gender-specific screening
- English preparation instructions
- A bilingual English-Chinese results report
- Breakfast after the fasting portion of the visit

Executive Health Screening
Executive screening is available by request and is tailored around your priorities, preferred tests and service requirements. The current indicative range is US$500-2,000 per person. PandaCheckup confirms the proposed programme, availability and personal quote before asking you to pay.
Optional tests may be available at selected centres. Ask about availability rather than assuming a test can be added to every programme or is appropriate for every guest.
Decide how much on-site support you want
Self-guided Essential screening includes English instructions and preparation reminders. It does not include an in-person PandaCheckup concierge.
If you prefer in-person help, bilingual concierge support is available by request at US$100 per concierge. A concierge meets your group and stays with you during the visit. One concierge may be shared by a group, and additional concierges can be requested. Availability is confirmed before payment.
How to book a health checkup in China
The booking process has four main steps:
- Choose health screening, your city and your programme.
- Select self-guided or bilingual concierge support.
- Add your preferred date and each guest's details.
- Pay securely online for an eligible fixed-price booking, or submit a request when availability or a personal quote must be confirmed first.
Health screening bookings require each guest's full name, date of birth and passport number. Enter the passport number only; do not upload a passport scan. Bring the same passport to check in.
Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Booking earlier is sensible for Executive screening, concierge support or a group visit because these require confirmation. A request is not an appointment: your visit is confirmed only when PandaCheckup sends written confirmation.

How to prepare for the visit
Preparation depends on the confirmed programme. PandaCheckup emails the instructions for your specific visit, so follow those instructions rather than a generic checklist found online.
Before the appointment:
- Read the confirmation email and check the centre, address, arrival time and programme.
- Follow the centre's instructions about eating, drinking and the fasting portion of your visit.
- Tell the healthcare team about relevant medical conditions, pregnancy, medicines and allergies.
- Do not stop prescribed medication unless your own doctor advises you to do so.
- Bring the passport used for the booking.

What happens after the screening?
The Essential programme includes a bilingual English-Chinese results report. Delivery timing can vary, so ask before booking if you need the report by a particular date.
A screening result is not a diagnosis on its own. If a report identifies something that may need attention, discuss it with a qualified healthcare professional. At your request, PandaCheckup can help identify suitable follow-up options through its healthcare network. Follow-up consultations, tests and treatment are separate unless the confirmed programme expressly includes them.
Can a screening fit into a short trip?
The Essential programme is designed for one coordinated morning, so it may fit a business trip or holiday once availability is confirmed. Allow enough time to meet the minimum booking window, receive written confirmation and follow the preparation instructions. Do not treat a submitted request as confirmed when planning the rest of your trip.
What should you check before paying?
Before confirming any health screening, make sure you understand:
- The exact programme and any centre-specific changes
- The city, centre and confirmed appointment details
- Whether support is self-guided or includes an in-person concierge
- The total price and what is included
- The language and format of the results report
- The cancellation and rescheduling terms
